In this class we will be using off camera flash to balance with the natural light available to us, exploring how to create different looks within the image in how to balance the light. We'll be looking at how to set up lighting safely outdoors, and how to capture our subjects for specific looks in mind.

In this class we will be photographing the sunset, provided we have one! Sunsets are beautiful, I think we can all agree, but they are also notoriously difficult to capture. So in this class we will be looking at a few different techniques of how to capture those sunsets so you never have to load up your sunset photos and feel disapointed ever again.
We'll be looking at a few different techniques such as HDR, Timelapsing, exposing for the highlights, and silhouetting.
The sun will set at approximately 1630 on the date of this class. We will have time before to set up, and time after to discuss.

On this meet,up we will have Cosplayers as our models.You will preferably need a normal, 85mm or longer lens, or a zoom. If you have a wide-angle this can also be used as we will be also looking at environmental portraits.

The focus of this two-hour structured session is "speed" and "form", i.e. capturing the essence of a subject. You will be guided to complete some "warm-up" colour and drawing exercises and prepared for doing ink and watercolour-based painting in the session. You will learn how to quickly sketch and capture multiple subjects in the garden with ink and wash technique. You will be advised to keep things rather loose and time your drawing/painting.
